How we got here

Veterans Wellness Aide was founded by Dr. Jackie Hahn, a pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in many different areas of healthcare. Seeing how administrative delays and coverage limitations could destabilize a person’s health, Dr. Hahn created a focused, clinician-guided nonprofit to step in quickly, responsibly, and compassionately. Today, our board includes additional health care providers who share the same commitment: take care of the person first, and let that drive the paperwork—not the other way around.

What sets us apart

• Bridge mindset: We focus on continuity—preventing lapses that can cause relapse, readmission, or harm.
• Counselor integration: We work with hospital and community counselors to align clinical need with real-world access.

Partnerships

We believe in cooperation, not duplication. By coordinating with counselors, VA resources, community clinics, and donors, we help veterans navigate the fastest safe path from need to solution. We do not provide crisis counseling; in emergencies, contact the Veterans Crisis Line or 911.

Accountability

We steward every gift carefully to maximize impact per dollar and report outcomes through donor updates and case summaries—because trust is earned one veteran at a time.
